Ten years ago, artificial intelligence didn't exist. Nowadays, it is a core part of our society as a whole. So much so that many people don't know how to function without it anymore. AI has become so good at mimicking humans that it can now replace most of them at work. That happens because in some cases, a machine can in fact complete a task better and faster than a human.

Nevertheless, the effects of artificial intelligence in the industry aren’t all negative. In healthcare, for instance, doctors and hospitals are using AI to read X-rays, help detect diseases early and even predict future health issues. Therefore, how can AI be considered harmful when it's a tool used to save lives?

When we talk about AI in a school environment, it is usually viewed as a way for students to cheat during tests and avoid doing their own work. What most people don't realize is that teachers can also use it to enhance their teaching. Artificial intelligence can help create personalized learning tools for students with difficulties, as it can detect what topics a student might struggle with and assist their learning.

In businesses, AI can increase a company's productivity exponentially through roles such as analyzing customer feedback, outlining reports, and completing repetitive tasks, which machines are often considered to do better than humans. Despite making work  more efficient, there are also several issues  affiliated with  replacing humans for robots in jobs.

While AI has the power and potential to make our lives easier, it is also a threat. One of the biggest worries relates to its ability to take away numerous jobs. In industries such as manufacturing, AI is already replacing human labor, which indicates that this trend will likely  continue to grow.

The bottom line is that artificial intelligence isn't just impacting one or two industries, it's reshaping the global workforce. Whether its impact is ultimately positive or negative depends entirely on how we choose to use it.
