Dear Readers,
This is it—the final issue of The Daily Hawk this year.
When we look back, it’s kind of wild how much we’ve pulled off. Six original issues, both printed and online. Instagram posts for each one. Press conference and full video coverage for the Student Council elections. Senior special coverage, currently in the works. A record number of views and engagement on both our website and social media. And none of this just happened—it was built, piece by piece, by a team we couldn’t be more proud of.
To everyone who read, shared, reposted, or simply picked up a copy—thank you. You’ve helped turn this club into something that actually matters in our school community.
To the school admin and Mr. Gui, our advisor—thank you for trusting us and always backing our ideas, even the ambitious ones.
And to the team:
Tatiana Chen and Helena Kallas, chief content editors—thank you for being so organized and assisting our members in becoming better journalists.
Luisa Rodarte, layout editor—you made sure every issue looked like something worth reading.
Arthur Mello, website director—you brought our work to life online, and it showed.
Larissa Ragonesi, social media director—your posts made our stories travel further than ever before.
Mariana Prata and Tiago Loures, content editors—thank you for keeping our voice sharp and consistent.
But this year wasn’t just about publishing. It was about reshaping the club. We introduced a full reform of our structure—new leadership roles, a more organized membership system, and a clearer vision for what The Daily Hawk could be. We also launched The Weekly Hawk, a Monday speaker announcement shared with the whole school to help clubs communicate better and feel more connected.
We’ve covered ISSL for both seasons, interviewed athletes, created highlight reels that took off on Instagram—and proved we could do journalism our own way, with creativity, speed, and heart.
Thank you for following along. We hope we’ve made you feel more informed, more connected, and maybe a little more proud to be part of this community.
See you soon,
Vitor Szuster and Isabella Margalith,
Editor-in-Chief and Deputy-Editor-in-Chief
The Daily Hawk
