Some matches are about survival, but this one was about control and putting everything the LadyHawks learned into play. Against PASB, EABH delivered a performance defined by confidence, rhythm, and collective strength.
From the very beginning, the girls imposed their pace. A quick lead established control, with EABH already two points ahead before PASB could settle. Julia Jorge set the tone with a powerful attack, driving the ball deep into the opponent’s court. At the service line, Nina was calm and precise, placing the ball exactly where it needed to be. PASB struggled to respond, and a double-touch error extended the lead to 7-1, forcing an early timeout.
EABH remained composed. Attacks came with force and intention; balls were driven into the net, into open spaces, into moments PASB simply couldn’t recover from. Summer contributed with a clean middle attack, executed with perfect timing and control.
Even when mistakes appeared, they never disrupted the rhythm. The team stayed focused. At 16-6, the gap reflected more than points: dominance. Julia Jorge once again delivered through the middle, supported by an excellent set from Julia Ribeiro, while Brunna added another strong attack to maintain pressure.
From the service line, Gabi destabilized PASB’s reception, and Brunna followed with both a decisive kill and a clean ace, reinforcing EABH’s control of the set. A strong block from Nina showed defensive presence, but even when points slipped away, the outcome never felt uncertain. The first set closed at 25-5: a clear statement.
With advantage secured, rotations brought fresh energy, because we all know that every single LadyHawk can bring the same level of strength onto the court. Carol Bonato and Bianca Birman entered the court, immediately making an impact. Carol opened the second set with a powerful attack supported by Bianca’s set, claiming the first point with confidence.
Brunna proceeded to serve aggressively, and her presence was felt even behind the service line. Julia Jorge maintained her consistency, delivering powerful attacks, while Carol Bonato capitalized on a perfect set from Bianca to secure another point. Even when EABH lost possession momentarily, recovery was immediate: Julia Jorge returned to the service line with force, reestablishing control.
New substitutions brought Maria Chucre into the game and Julia Ribeiro back at it once more. They reinforced both energy and structure. At 17-9, EABH remained firmly ahead. Carol stepped into a defining moment: three consecutive aces that left no doubt about the direction of the match. A middle attack from Maria Chucre further destabilized PASB’s defense, pushing EABH closer to victory. The sequence of aces ended, but the dominance NEVER ends.
The LadyHawks once again secured a 2-0 victory, giving us a team to be proud of. The girls knew that this game was much more than victory. It was about maintaining composure, learning through mistakes, and consistency. Their resilience is inspiring to see, and they radiate that incredible energy throughout the court.
