The EABH Lady Hawks entered the field with determination in the girls' soccer match against the OLM Falcons, fighting for a spot in the semifinals. Since the beginning of the game, the energy of the Hawks and the Falcons, especially their coach, was electric. In the beginning of the first half , Laura Calixto (17) made a precise lateral free kick, setting the tone for the Hawks' offense. Despite multiple attempts from key players like Marina Cambraia (12) and Helena Dias (30), the Falcons' defense stood strong. The tension in the game increased as the time passed, with both sides doing their best to take the lead of the game.
The first half ended with no goals, but the Hawks didn't lower their heads. The crowd was in high spirits as the EABH boys' team was running around the field shouting out the players. On the field, Haruka Sugiyama (42), Carolina Bonato (20), and Emanuelle Santos (19) showed great effort and skills, energizing the Hawks' pace. As the second half began, the OLM Falcons tried to take control with offensive plays, but the Hawks goalkeeper Gabi Muzzi stayed solid catching all the balls. Laura Prates (18) and Alice Mol (23) joined the field giving fresh energy to the team. The captain Mariana Lana (13), Júlia Ribeiro (14), and Brunna Gontijo (24) showed great ball-control, but didn't keep the Falcons from continuing to attack. Gabi Muzzi made another crucial save, preventing the Falcons from scoring a goal and taking the lead.
As the game ended, the final score was 0-0. The Lady Hawks were frustrated because even with their strong performance and great efforts, they knew that this draw meant that they wouldn't be in the semifinals. Though disappointed, the Lady Hawks walked away proud of their well-played match and excellent teamwork!
